Developed by Dr. J.C. Walker of the University of Wisconsin. It's a great short season pickling cuke. It t is highly spot and rot resistant. Strong vigorous vine yield well. The fruit is dark green with black spines.

Here’s a gorgeous all-purpose slicing/pickling type. The plants are of bush habit, usually running no more than 18” or so, making them superior for small gardens, containers, or anywhere space is tight. Fruits hold well on the plants.

Early maturing - 40-45 days. average climbing plant. Fruit cylindrical, length 10-13 cm long, weighing 60-75 g. Lumpy surface, with clear strips half length. Yield 2.3-3.6 kg/m2. Fructifies to 2 months. Disease resistance. Use fresh or for canning.

The variety comes from Germany, greens up to 25 cm, lettuce, when ripe they turn bright yellow, at full weight one green tea gains up to 5 kg, a record holder, there are no analogues.
