It is a tough insect that cannot be stopped by poor conditions, even being reported to withstand the effects of salt, a strong drying agent for insects. Lives in residential buildings, museums, warehouses with furs and wool. ![]() Mating occurs on the first day or the next day, usually in the evening. Mated butterflies sit motionless, mainly in dark places. After 4 – 10 hours, the female begins to lay eggs. After the end of laying, the butterfly lives 4–6 days. ![]() The clutch lasts 5-7 days, during which 60 to 100 eggs are laid.
