«White Queen» - Organic Corn Seeds

Plants are powerful, up to 230 cm high, cylindrical cobs, multicolored grain, large, flat, very tasty when young, sweet, growing season 90-100 days, an excellent variety for the needs of the host.

Bodacious ears are large at 20cm (8″) and very sweet and tender. The husk is an attractive dark-green colour and kernels are bright yellow and tender. Bodacious corn seeds are highly recommended for home grown corn on the cob or freezing.

Baby Blue Jade Corn is a sweet little heirloom that's small enough to be grown in a container. Plants have multiple stalks and grow only 3' high, producing 3-5 ears per plant. The ears are miniature too, about half the size of ordinary sweet corn.

Mid-early variety, plant height 260-270 cm, ear attachment height 90-95 cm, number of leaves 15-16, ear length 21-22 cm, grain rows 16, grain yield 82-84%, cob core red.

Pure white, 8” half-long shaped root vegetable with a mild parsley flavor. Roots are broad at shoulders, tapering to a point. Very aromatic and great in soups or roasted in the oven. Hilmar really shines as a winter vegetable.

Godetia is a flower native to western North America. It can be found between California and British Columbia. Its scientific name, Clarkia, is named for Captain Clark who was an important pioneer for the United States in the Lewis and Clark Expedition.

Though many of the plants in the Hibiscus genus grow in tropical or semitropical regions, several hardier species such as this one are native to North America. Experimental gardener Thomas Jefferson included this species of hibiscus in his list.
