«Vertus» - Organic Savoy cabbage Seeds

Called "Queen of the Herbs" in Ireland, where its tendency to grow under elder trees imbued it with elder’s magical reputation. In England it became a common treatment for "king’s evil," or scrofula (tuberculosis of the lymphatic glands).

Mid early determinate variety. Fruit - red elongated plum, dense, average weight 80-100 grams. Great for canning and processing. The main advantage of the variety is abundant fruiting. The skin is thin, the taste is rich.

This is a late-ripening variety. Vegetation period from shoots to technical ripeness 150-160 days. Forms dense, rounded, slightly flattened heads of dark green color, weighing 2.5-3.5 kg, excellent taste qualities.

Five-petalled white flowers, resembling big white bluebottle flies, bloom in June on this unusual, rarely-seen, much-branched shrub which grows most commonly in lush woods on slopes, and around fields, and was being cultivated in Britain by 1683.
