«Maitake» (Grifola frondosa) - Organic Mushroom Spawn

Lion’s Mane is a beautiful and unusual ‘teethed’ mushroom comprised of layers of soft cascading spines.  It gets its name from the Lion’s Mane Jellyfish not from the big cat! Lion’s Mane is now a rare find in the wild.

Fruit bodies (4 to 6 cm diameter) with gelatine-like to rubbery texture, and dark brown to black share, depending on the humidity. Little infection of insect larva’s, and a very long storage capacity. Easy to grow.

On the lower surface, underneath the smooth cap, most species have gill-like ridges that run almost all the way down its stipe, which tapers down seamlessly from the cap. Many species emit a fruity aroma, reminiscent of apricots.

Suillellus luridus (formerly Boletus luridus), commonly known as the lurid bolete, is a fungus of the bolete family, found in deciduous woodlands on chalky soils in Asia, Europe, and eastern North America.

Mid-season variety of table purpose. The plant is strong, upright, with thick stems. Forms 6-8 tubers of 250-300 grams and above. Tubers are oval, with red skinned, slightly deep eyes and light yellow flesh. It has good taste.

This is a berry and salad culture, grown by sowing in the ground in early spring or before winter, as well as seedlings, very cold-resistant, drought-resistant, early ripening, when shoots appear in April, the first fruits ripen in June.

A perennial plant, the stem is erect, strong, 50-70 cm high, the peduncles are dense, 25-35 cm long, consisting of small, fluffy flowers, pink in color, collected in arrow-shaped inflorescences.

This is a very early high-yielding variety, leveled tubers, elongated-oval, smooth, with light skin, surface eyes and light yellow pulp, resistant to late blight, nematode, gives a good harvest even under adverse growing conditions.
