Needle Aster is an annual plant which grows 50 to 80 centimetres in height. This variety is truly outstanding due to its lovely multi-coloured inflorescences, whose single flowers look like needles, hence the name of this plant.
Needle Aster is recommended to be grown in flower beds and is frequently used as a cut flower. Growing: sow the seeds in planter boxes, covered pallet planters or in a seedbed in April. The seeds germinate in around 2 weeks at 16-20°C. Plant out into flower beds in 30x30cm spacings in May. The plants flower from July to October. This variety prefers sunny positions.
