Black Velvet is a mid season vigorous variety of gooseberry with a spreading habit. The berries are a dark red/plum colour with a pleasant mix of sweet and tart when ripe. Yields are high of small to medium sized fruits.

Mid-season determinant variety, productive, up to 40 fruits on one bush, chocolate-terracotta fruits with green stripes, flat-rounded, thick walls, sugary pulp, rich taste with spicy sweetness.

Yellow Cream Alpine strawberry seeds are a bit easier to start than some others. Start the seeds indoors as early as December, and transplant outdoors one week after your last average frost date. That’s around the first or second week in April.
