Erysimum diffusum is a BIENNIAL/PERENNIAL growing to 1.2 m (4ft). The flowers are hermaphrodite (have both male and female organs) and are pollinated by Insects.
Suitable for: light (sandy), medium (loamy) and heavy (clay) soils, prefers well-drained soil and can grow in nutritionally poor soil. Suitable pH: acid, neutral and basic (alkaline) soils. It can grow in semi-shade (light woodland) or no shade. It prefers dry or moist soil.
Once growing you should care for Alpine and other wallflowers by deadheading after flowering and giving them a mulching in the Autumn. If you require more plants then cuttings should be took in the spring; as Erysimum plants self seed this may not be necessary.
