    Yellow chinese "Princess" aster (Callistephus chinensis) makes the summer in your garden last until the end of October with its bright yellow flowers.


    This easily cultivated annual plant grows 50 to 80 cm tall and thrives on sunny flower beds. Flowers can be cut and put in vases - these picked right after they have started to bloom will last in containers with water for up to two weeks. Chinese asters are recommended for growing from seedlings, produced indoors, on a hot bed or under covers end of March/ beginning of April.

    Direct sowing to a permeable, humous soil on a flower bed is also possible in the second half of April. These asters start to bloom in July and stay fresh and good looking even after the first frosts.

    You could enjoy bright compositions of the yellow chinese "Princess" aster with differently coloured varieties: pink-orange, blue, pink, red and white. These plants also form great partnerships with zinnias, marigolds and coneflowers.
