Feijoa Seeds (Acca Sellowiana)

The Feijoa or Pineapple Guava is a container plant with green, egg-shaped fruits that taste sweet-sour and smell like pineapples. They can be eaten fresh or, for example, be mixed in salads or pies. The flesh is white, with in glassy seed compartments in the middle (like a cucumber).

The plant is evergreen and can withstand several degrees of frost. At lower temperatures, you should move the plant indoors and let it overwinter at a low temperature. The special flowers are white with red stamens and are also edible. Sometimes they are used as a topping for a dish in an upscale restaurant.

It is easily kept species. A spot with partial shade is sufficient.
