Ideal for early sowings in frames and for successional sowing outside, Kahira is a flatter-rooted beet with smooth skin and a deep red, tender and flavoursome flesh. Roots grow mainly above the surface of the soil in a well-drained and sunny position.

Early ripening, high-yielding variety, the growing season from germination to the beginning of fruiting is 40-45 days, a compact bush, without side shoots.

Prolific indeterminate, regular leaf plant yielding 3-inch (12 oz.) oblate, orange-yellow fruit with red blush on end and mild, luscious, fruity taste, dense, without cracks, elegantly beautiful, red and yellow. Dense, fleshy, with two-color pulp.
