Crimson Clover Dixie (Trifolium Incarnatum) - A winter annual, crimson clover is grown from bulk clover seeds from the Gulf Coast region to Southern Ohio clear to the West Coast.

This is a traditional medium early Japanese type bunching onion. At maturity, the stalk has white shanks up to 20-24" long with 6-7 deep green, thick leaves. These green onions do not form bulbs and do not multiply by division.

An annual plant, creeping stems, 100-120cm long, funnel-shaped, simple flowers, 5-10cm in diameter, violet-purple in color with a pleasant honey aroma.

Strongly scented, bell-shaped flowers with waxy textured petals, are followed by bright red berries. These appear on slender, upright to gently arching stems, which arise from amongst the lush green foliage.
