"Robinson" Persian chrysanthemum (Leucanthemum coccineum) is an easy-to-grow perennial plant that blooms in the summer. This species grows 50 - 60 cm tall and develops straight, almost branch-less shoots that are covered with subtle, feathery leaves.

You can easily grow these plants on your own. Sow Persian chrysanthemum seeds late in the spring to a seed bed. Transfer the seedlings to the permanent site in autumn or in spring the following year. The plants will bloom in the second year of cultivation. "Robinson" Persian chrysanthemum will grow broadly and bloom abundantly planted on sunny or partially shady positions. It thrives in heavier, clay soil with high humus content. It is of utmost importance that the soil stays moderately moist all the time.
