This is a small type of chili pepper that is valued for its particular pungency in the mouth after eating. A purple variant of the classic jalapeno, but overall it doesn't look too much like the "original". It differs in the shape and behavior of the ovary. Beautiful pepper with black (unripe) fruits of medium size (up to 5 cm) with thick pulp and pleasant taste. After ripening, the fruits are red with traces of anthocyanins.
Early to fully ripen, the pepper needs up to 80 days. The plant itself reaches a height of about 1 meter and, as the fruits grow and ripen, yields a crop of 25-35 peppers. Reddened fruits are usually dried, smoked. In addition, chipotle is made from red fruits. This is the name of one of the Mexican condiments, which is produced by smoking.
