Mid-early asparagus bean variety of the Skvira Experiment Station. The plant is a bush, 35 to 45 cm high. The shovel is green, juicy, sweet.

The variety is resistant to anthracnose, the yield is high up to 18 tons of blades and up to 4 tons of seeds per hectare. Suitable for mechanized cleaning. Ukrainian grade.

Sowing seeds
Beans - a thermophilic plant, loves fertile and light soils, does not withstand the close standing of groundwater. The optimal planting time is the end of May - beginning of June, it is not recommended to plant at a temperature below + 12 ° C.
Before sowing, the seeds are kept in a damp cloth only until peeling, you need to make sure that the cotyledons do not open.

Seeding Density
Planting scheme for bush varieties of 20x30 cm, for climbing - 30x40 cm. The depth of sowing depends on the properties of the soil, usually 5-8 cm is enough.

Bush beans are usually grown in beds, making three to four rows and sowing seeds in a checkerboard pattern. For curly and semi-curly types of beans, it is necessary to install long pegs or slats, and it’s wooden, since the beard antennae will not be able to cling to metal.

Harvesting
Asparagus bean pods are harvested when the seeds reach the size of a wheat grain every 3-4 days. For long-term storage, it must be frozen.

Beans are harvested when the pods turn yellow and begin to open, the main thing is not to miss this moment, otherwise you have to collect the beans from the ground.

Cultural value
Beans are green manure, like other types of legumes, have the ability to enrich the soil with nitrogen through nodule bacteria, which increases soil fertility.
