The Japanese variety of bush nutmeg is completely without a specific pumpkin taste and smell. This is not a sweet pumpkin, tastes like potatoes, goes well with vegetables and meat dishes.
Fruits are round, ribbed, weighing from 1 to 3 kg. The peel at the beginning of ripening is almost black.
In the process of ripening, the color of the fruit changes to intensely nutty with a whitish waxy coating. The pulp is dense, orange. The peel is cleaned without effort (almost like an apple). Storage quality is high, can be stored for more than 12 months.
Productivity is very high. The ripening period is 110 days.
This pumpkin is so fruitful and beautiful that it can be grown on a trellis as a decorative fence.
Delicious in mashed potatoes, stew, baked with meat. You can add to soups, potato casseroles and any meat unsweetened dishes. You can freeze the flesh of this squash, diced.
