A beautiful indoor ornamental plant, the fruits of which are not poisonous, but still not used in cooking. It is abundantly covered with purple flowers and is very beautiful during this period. Then the flowers change to compact fruits, weighing 80-100 grams.

Fruits, when ripe, change color from white to yellow and, under appropriate conditions, remain on the plant for a long time. Ripe, yellow fruits are bitter, so it is advisable to eat - young white ones, they are without bitterness.

The height of the bush is 30-50 cm. The eggplant is ideal for growing in street containers and pots on window sills.

Agrotechnics:
Seeds are usually sown in March (if artificial lighting is supposed to be sown before winter) to a depth of 1.5-2.0 cm in containers with loose soil and covered with glass or film. At a temperature of 22-30 ° C, seedlings appear within two weeks. Then the crops, without removing the shelter, need to be rearranged in a cooler bright place (18-20 ° C). Shelter needs to be removed gradually so as not to shock heat-loving plants.

A pick is carried out when the first true leaf appears, in pots of 0.5 l. Plants develop well at an air temperature of 19-22 ° C and sufficient lighting. Seedlings at the age of two months before planting in a permanent place should be 10-12 cm tall, have a thick stem and 5-7 true leaves. Upon reaching a height of 20-25 cm, you need to pinch the top, which will contribute to better branching of the bush.
