Organic Passion fruit seeds / Passiflora edulis

A heavily clustering, stemless Yucca native to the Atlantic coast of the United States from Central Florida up to as far north as New Hampshire. Y. filamentosa is similar and often confused with Y. flaccida, with which it shares part of its native range.

The plants grow eight to twelve feet in height at maturity developing beautiful, rich, shiny, black-coated seeds. The seed heads are compact with most being eight to twelve inches in length. As its name suggests, the seeds are actually amber colored.

Much grown in the tropics for its delicious fruits. In this country it is grown for interest and as a foliage plant as it has large, handsome leaves. The leaves can be used for wrapping round pieces of tough meat with the object of tenderising them.

A shrub with a height of 20-150 cm with multiple thorns, berries are globular, dark purple, with a diameter of 4-9 mm, used for the prevention of cancer, atherosclerosis, heart disease and other ailments, as well as for the rejuvenation of the body.

This is an early ripe variety, the fruit is elongated, dark purple, in technical ripeness with a strong gloss and smooth surface, the average weight of the fruit is 200 grams, the flesh is whitish, without bitterness.
