    A type of pine of medium height with an ovoid, low-slung crown shape. This graceful tree with a dense crown and long needles will be a real decoration for your garden. The area of ​​origin of this type of pine is the mountainous regions of southern and southeastern Europe.

    Rumelian pine is a species of pine that grows quickly at a young age, later the growth of the tree slows down, the annual growth of young pine is about 25 - 30 centimeters. At the age of ten, the pine grows up to 2.5 - 3.0 meters in height and 1.0 - 1.5 meters in width.

    In adulthood, this tree is up to 20 meters high and 4.5 - 7.0 meters wide. The needles of the Rumelian pine are dense, up to 10 centimeters long, raised up, collected in bunches of 5 pieces, hard and prickly to the touch, sharp, gray-green in color. In winter, the color of the needles changes to a light yellow-green. Cones are large, up to 15 centimeters long, cylindrical, light brown in color.

    Rumelian pine is one of the most beautiful types of pine, which is why it is widely used in landscaping. Suitable for planting in large and medium-sized gardens, squares, parks. The Balkan pine looks especially good in garden compositions together with deciduous brightly fruitful bushes and trees, as well as against the background of brightly blooming deciduous trees and shrubs. Rumelian pine is resistant to smoke and gas pollution, suitable for growing in large cities.

    Macedonian pine is frost-resistant, can withstand temperatures down to -45 degrees Celsius without freezing, moderately demanding on the soil, loves rich soils with moderate moisture. Does not tolerate wetlands, for planting in such an area it is necessary to dig a large hole and arrange drainage from broken brick or expanded clay at the bottom of the hole. The tree is sun-loving, suitable for planting in areas of the garden with short-term shade.
