Organic Tagetes «Lemon Drop»
Marigold ‘Lemon Drop’ is an annual decorative plant that grows 40 to 50 centimetres in height, which makes it one of the tallest marigold varieties.
What is considered to be amongst its most appealing qualities is a relatively long and rich flowering period; this is when the plants produce a plethora of lovely lemon inflorescences that have an exceptional decorative potential. Marigold ‘Lemon Drop’ is highly appreciated as a cut flower and is often grown in flower beds. Florists recommend to use this unique plant as a background in arrangements with other marigolds.
Growing: sow the seeds under cover in April or directly into the soil in May. The seeds germinate in 1 to 2 weeks at 18oC. Plant out into a permanent position in 40x50cm spacings in the second half of May. The plants are little demanding as far as the soil is concerned and prefer sunny or slightly shaded positions.
