A wonderful, late variety of pot pumpkin, the fruits are very large, round, 30-50 cm in diameter. The wall is dense, up to 5 mm thick. Prized by artisans for their beautiful round shape. They can be used to make wonderful baskets or containers. Ripening period up to 100 -120 days.
The fruits of the lagenaria are enormous in size, can grow from 7 to 15 kg each, and some are reported to be up to 40 kg. Great for crafts or as a container. Dries easily.
The hard outer shell gives the pumpkin a wide range of creative possibilities, including carvings, musical instruments, flower arrangements, toys, water pots, ladles, ornaments, wood burning (pyrography) and more.
Suitable for growing in containers!
They make large bowls that can later be decorated or painted and used to store fruits, sewing and knitting supplies, medicines and other dry items.
