Humboldt Tomato / Lycopersicon humboldtii (Willd.) Dunal var. luteum
Awesome wild tomato. These tomatoes were first described in 1813. Their homeland is Venezuela.
Tall, very productive. The fruits are small (the size of a sweet cherry), but very interesting in taste, of a beautiful rich yellow color and incredibly healthy - they have a lot of carotene. Average weight - 6 grams.
They are ideal for salads, they can be eaten straight from the bush, and they look very impressive when preserved.
Sprawling bush - up to 1 m in diameter. Disease resistant. Tomatoes are stored for a long time. Fruiting until late autumn.
These tomatoes are grown in the same way as ordinary ones.
Sowing. Seeds are sown for seedlings in late March - early April, in boxes or immediately in hotel cups to a depth of 1–2 cm. In the phase of 1–2 true leaves, the plants dive.
In open ground, seedlings are planted in late May - early June, when the threat of spring frosts has passed. Or in late April - early May (with shelter or in a greenhouse).
Planting scheme: in a row - 1 m, between rows 1 m.
Ripens 70–80 days.
