An annual plant with erect stems, 50-80 cm high. Double flowers, 3-6 cm in diameter, collected in dense spike-shaped inflorescences, of various colors, used for decorating flower beds, flower beds, and borders.

Variety type of peony asters, semi-spreading bush, 50-60 cm high, 40-45 cm in diameter, peduncles of medium length, strong, inflorescences 10 cm in diameter, densely doubled, the edges are pale pink, the middle is almost white.

An annual plant, stems erect or semi-layered, up to 20-30 cm high, flowers up to 0.2 cm in diameter, inconspicuous, fragrant, used mainly for group plantings, carpet plantings, borders, ridges and rock gardens.

The Oregon grape is an attractive evergreen shrub that is native to the west coast of North America. Its fruits are blue berries that are borne in clusters and look somewhat like grapes. It is unrelated to the true grapes, however.

Another relative of the Common Privet but higher in the handsome stakes, this is an attractive semi-evergreen shrub with small waxy green leaves and long terminal panicles of scented, white frothy flowers.

The trees range from 40–60 feet (12–18 m) high with short trunk and round-topped head. The juice is milky and acrid. The roots are thick, fleshy, covered with bright orange bark.
