Organic Wild Cucumber Seeds (Echinocystis lobata)

For an unusual yet lovely flower, grow Safflower seeds for this annual with orange flower heads. The plant has foliage that is thistle-like and reaches 30 - 36 inches in height. It blooms throughout the summer with orange, tubular flowers.

Known in the old Herbals as Herba ruta caprariae, Galega officinalis was considered medicinally important in the treatment of plague, fevers and infectious diseases but is now considered too toxic for human use.

Perennial herb from the Labiate family, 30-60 cm high, with a strongly branched rhizome, erect stems, tetrahedral, pubescent, branched in the upper part.

A flowering biennial plant, a good honey plant, blooms profusely from the second decade of May to mid-June (25-30 days), grows in one place for 3-4 years, flowers provide bees with nectar and pollen.

It’s a very short plant with most of ours only growing a foot or so, making it perfect for growing in pots. Big crops of delicious tender “green beans” that are great as a stir fry, soup, stew, even a green salad vegie.
