Organic Green Buckwheat
Buckwheat seeds are used for planting in a container at home all year round. Microgreens are best used raw. Buckwheat seedlings contain a lot of magnesium and phosphorus. They are recommended to be used regularly for coronary heart disease and hypertension, diabetes, anemia and chronic stress.
After all, this microgreen helps to increase the level of hemoglobin, strengthen the walls of blood vessels, reduce the permeability and fragility of capillaries.
Microgreen is a unique product. During germination, the plant passes from one quality to another, and with this its biological, in particular, vitamin composition changes - the content of vitamins C, B2 and B6 increases. Iron, phosphorus, calcium and zinc are better absorbed from germinated seeds.
How to germinate buckwheat seeds
Take green buckwheat seeds and rinse several times with water. You can use a sieve or colander for this. If you need to sort out buckwheat, then do it carefully so as not to damage the kernels.
Place the grains in a jar or porcelain bowl.
Pour the grains with clean water in a ratio of 1:3 (1 part buckwheat to 2-3 parts water).
Leave the seeds for 2-3 hours, because. seeds swell very quickly. If you leave the seeds for more than 4 hours, then mucus will appear around them. Then it will be necessary to wash the seeds again well. And if the seeds are left in water for more than 10 hours, they will ferment and deteriorate.
Drain the water carefully. Spread the buckwheat evenly over the bottom and sides of the bowl. Cover the container with a lid so that the air supply does not stop. Leave buckwheat for 12-20 hours in a dark place.
The seeds should have germinated by this time. Seedlings on average should be 1-2 mm. Usually they wait until the sprouts reach a length of 1-2 cm. To do this, leave the seeds for another day or two. Make sure the buckwheat doesn't dry out.
Every 12-14 hours they usually change the water, making sure that the buckwheat does not dry out, but also not leaving more than the level of water after the first soaking.
Sprouted buckwheat seeds are used both as an independent dish and as part of various salads, so choose the length of the sprouts in accordance with the recipe.
