The height of the trunk can reach 50 meters. Crown: pyramidal shape.
The branches are located along the trunk almost whorled. The linear-lanceolate leaves are hard, leathery, almost 7 cm long and sickle-shaped. Lightweight, soft cunningamia wood is widely used in construction. It is also used to make paper and obtain essential oil. In the greenhouse the tree reaches a height of 8 m at the age of 15 years.
