Organic Laurustine seeds

Evergreen, densely branched shrub up to 3 meters tall. Young shoots are bare or raggedly pubescent; annual ones are brown. The leaves of this viburnum are remarkable - leathery, elliptical (12 x 5.5 cm), entire, bright green above, shiny, lighter below, pubescent along the veins. The flowers are pink-white, fragrant, in umbellate panicles, up to 10 cm in diameter. The fruits are black-blue, dryish, spherical or ovoid drupes.

It tolerates drought well, is thermophilic, and can withstand temperatures down to minus 15C. Photophilous, does not bloom in the shade. Low demands on soil. In winter, the temperature needs to be lowered to 15° C. To form a bush, pruning and pinching are necessary.

Propagated by autumn sowing of seeds, it is perfectly grafted onto common viburnum. When replanting, there is no need to use large containers - you can trim some of the roots, update the soil and plant in the same pot, having previously removed some of the excess shoots. Soil mixture: turf, leaf soil, humus, sand (2:1:1:1).

Used as a potted plant, as tapeworms and in group compositions. It tolerates cutting and crown shaping very well. Used in single and group plantings, when constructing hedges.

It is valuable not only for its thick, shiny, bright green foliage, but also for its very early, long-lasting flowering of fragrant flowers. Viburnum evergreen is an ideal shrub for inexperienced gardeners.
