The amaranth plant is a valuable source of protein, vitamins, dyes; it is used in animal husbandry and the food industry. Oil and seeds have antimicrobial, antibacterial, anti-inflammatory properties. In addition, amaranth is beautiful in itself and does not require special care. What is called “planted and enjoy all summer.”
Main characteristics:- stems: erect, 75-150 cm in height;
- flowers: small, dark red, fragrant, collected in panicle inflorescences;
- leaves: elongated, oval, with a pointed end;
- blooms from June to October-November.
There are more than 60 varieties of amaranth. Paniculata amaranth is used to decorate borders, hedges, and to eliminate terrain defects (ditches, gaps in hedges, stumps). It looks harmonious both in combination with flowering plants and shrubs, and in single plantings. In winter bouquets it lasts up to 4 months, maintaining excellent decorative qualities.
