Grown by collectors for decorative purposes, as well as for edible fruits. It looks extremely impressive thanks to purple-black leaves with a greenish tint and dark purple fruits. Interestingly, unlike those chili, the unripe fruits of which are purple, they do not turn red when ripening and do not change their color, still remaining dark purple and only acquiring a neon shine.
The taste of the fruits has a nutty note, they are a little reminiscent of habanero, but surpass it in pungency.
The plant is over 120 cm tall. The flowers are white with purple markings and a purple core. The fruits are oblong, about 5 cm long and about 2 cm in diameter. The peppers are very hot, aromatic, and barely change color as they ripen, remaining purple.
