Cabbage prefers fertile, moisture-retentive soils with a neutral pH (6.5–7.5). In autumn, the soil is dug with the addition of humus and phosphorus-potassium fertilizers. In spring — harrowing, leveling the surface, and preparing the beds. Grown by seedling method: seeds are sown 35–45 days before planting in the ground.
