Eggplant «Striped Voyage»
A high-yielding mid-season variety suitable for cultivation in open ground and temporary film shelters. The distinctive feature of this variety is its highly variegated fruit coloration. Fruits weigh 200–250 grams, with white flesh of excellent taste quality, free from bitterness. The variety is characterized by high fruit set and resistance to adverse weather conditions. Ideal for freezing.
Agricultural practices:
Eggplant prefers sandy loam and loamy fertile soils rich in organic matter. The best predecessors are onion, carrot, pumpkin, and legumes. Grown through seedlings.
Seeds are sown in the second decade of March. At the stage of 1–2 true leaves, seedlings are pricked out. Transplanting into the ground is done at the age of 60–70 days, after the threat of frost has passed. Planting density is up to 5 plants per 1 m². Further care includes regular feeding, weeding, and loosening.
