An early-maturing variety. The growing period from emergence to biological maturity is 90–100 days. Plants are 100–150 cm tall and require staking.
At technical maturity, the fruits are dark green; at biological maturity, they are red, long and very sweet. They resemble cigars in appearance. Elongated in shape, up to 30 cm long and weighing 100–150 grams.
The flesh is juicy and sweet. One of the best varieties for frying. The best Italian variety for making pizza. The fruits are also consumed fresh and used for canning.
Sow seeds for seedlings at the end of February. Prick out at the 1–2 true leaf stage. Plant outdoors at the end of May. After planting, remove the side shoots and leaves up to the first fork and tie the plants to a support.
