Large flowered garden pansy, here red with black dot, has red upper and lower petals, while the latter have black spots in the centre of the blossom.

Large flowered garden pansies can be used in many different ways. We can plant them practically everywhere, starting with simple lawns, through flower bed edgings, to all kinds of containers - balcony boxes, bowls, larger and smaller pots. Due to the long blooming season garden pansies have lately found their way to cemetaries.

Cultivation of this biennial plant does not present any problems and even unexperienced hobby gardeners will be able to grow large red, black-dotted blooms. We can count on a great decoration from spring until end of summer. This plant grows both on sunny and partially shady sites.
