    The "Fantastic" Mexican marigold (Tagetes erecta) is an annual plant that might grow up to 80 cm tall. Mexican marigolds of the "Fantastic" variety stand out with their large, double inflorescences.

    The tongue-shaped flowers curl inwards, resembling chrysanthemums. This variety mix contains plants blooming in many different sunny colours, from lemon to deep orange. Tall Aztec marigolds, as this plant is also called, look great on borders and delight us with their blooms all summer long until autumn. They also work great as cut flowers.

    Mexican marigold seeds need to be sown to boxes or covered seeding trays in spring. They will germinate quickly, if you provide them with a temperature of 18°C. Seedlings may be transplanted to the permanent site no earlier than in the second half of May, after the risk of spring frosts is gone. The Mexican marigold grows well in almost every kind of soil, provided it is fertile.
