Plant Pink Flint as a cutting flower and relish the blossoms indoors as well. Ageratum has a long bloom period that begins in mid summer and continues until first frost providing delightfully fragrant pink blooms that attract butterflies. Ageratum is good for edging, mass planting, rock gardens, pot and container planting. Ageratum grows best in full sun or partial sun preferring moist, but well-drained soil.
How to Grow
Start the Ageratum flower seeds indoors 6 - 8 weeks before the end of frost season. Transplant outdoors after danger of frost. For areas with a long growing season, Ageratum seeds can be started directly outdoors in a prepared seedbed after all danger of frost has passed. Blooms are extraordinarily long-lived, dead heading is necessary, yet infrequent.
