This is a perennial decorative deciduous plant, up to 2 m high. The stem is powerful with very large, light green leaves. Before planting, the seeds are soaked in warm water, then the slightly softened shell is carefully scarified.
The seeds are sown in a mixture of peat with sand or sawdust, and the soil is constantly kept moist. The optimal temperature for seed germination is 25-30ºС.
