Organic Wild Olive Seeds (Elaeagnus angustifolia)
A shrub or small (3-8 m tall) tree with thorny branches of the olive family. Young shoots are silvery white with stellate hairs. Leaves are alternate, linear or elongated-olanceolate, entire, silvery.
Flowers bisexual, fragrant, 1-3 in leaf axils, perianth 4-lobed, bell-shaped, yellow inside, outside - silvery. The fruit is drupe-like, yellow, mealy. Blossoms in June; fruits ripen in August - September.
Commonly called Russian olive, silver berry, oleaster, or wild olive.
