An amazing dark purple tomato, bred by leading purple tomato breeder Jim Myers of Oregon State University (OSU) in the USA, crossing a wild tomato with a varietal.
The green fruit gradually turns dark purple when exposed to sunlight. The bottom half of the ripe tomatoes then turns dark orange and the top dark brown. Fruit weight 50-80 grams, round with tomato-fruit flavor.
The pulp is pink-red in color, fragrant, dense, contains a high content of vitamin C and is rich in antioxidants. Mid-ripening (80-90 days), indeterminate variety, for open ground and greenhouses with a long fruiting period up to October. Received the popular name "Lilac Mist".
