Arugula / Eruca sativa
This is a valuable spice and flavor culture, with an unsurpassed nut-mustard flavor of the leafy part of the plant. The period from germination to collection of greens is 20-25 days.
The plant forms a small bush 15-20 cm high. The presence of essential oils, vitamins (B, C) and mineral compounds make this crop very useful for consumption. Arugula is grown in the open field and as a pot culture in indoor conditions.
