  • Set of seeds «Low-growing tomatoes»

    Imagine a tomato that grows quietly in a cool climate, does not need pinching, and is easy to support. 45 days after planting, the compact bush is covered with flowers, and after another 3 weeks, ripe tomatoes are ready. Low-growing tomatoes meet all these criteria.

    In addition to the obvious advantages of short-growing tomatoes in short and/or cool summers, they also perform well in hot climates where conditions favorable for growing tomatoes end in early summer. They are also good in humid climates where tomato diseases such as late blight thrive in late summer.

    Other advantages of low-growing varieties include:

    • Early ripening. If you need early-ripening tomatoes (ultra-early, ultra-early), then low-growing tomatoes are an excellent choice. They are well suited for growing in Siberia with its short summer, and for the Moscow region with unpredictable weather and frequent rains.
    • No pinching required. Growing low-growing tomatoes is a matter of taste. Sometimes there is not enough space in the greenhouse, the tomatoes grow densely and some of the shoots have to be removed. Or you can leave everything if the space allows.
    • Productivity. Among dwarf tomatoes there are a lot of productive varieties and tomatoes with relatively large fruits. Of course, these are not large-fruited varieties with fruits weighing 500-700 grams, but they cannot be compared with cherry tomatoes.
    • Resistance to late blight. In fact, there are no tomatoes resistant to late blight, it’s just that some bushes are infected earlier, others later. When producers write about a variety that it is resistant, it means that the plant will have time to bear fruit by the beginning of the epidemic.
    • Taste. The taste of short tomatoes is the same as that of tall ones - they are sweet, sweet and sour, aromatic, and sugary.
    • Possibility of growing in a container. Low-growing tomatoes can be grown not only in a pot outside, but also at home and on the balcony.

    This set includes 9 varieties of low-growing tomatoes:

    • Sanka;
    • Kumach;
    • Cherry red stunted;
    • Glad;
    • Inguletsky;
    • Kibitz;
    • Mystery;
    • Volgogradsky 3/23;
    • Siberian Red.
