Organic Aster «White Pink»
White-pink peony aster (Callistephus chinensis) is a very popular annual garden plant. It forms a bushy habit and reaches up to 60-70 cm in height.
Impressive, bicolour inflorescences that appear in the summer resemble peony blooms with their shape and subtle, pink-white colour. This charming plant blooms in summer months until beginning of autumn. Large, double flowers will adorn each sunny border and flower bed. They can be used as cut flowers and arranged into beautiful bouquets.
Aster seeds available in our online store should be sown into boxes or seeding trays indoors. Permeable soil would work best, while the seedlings should be watered from underneath. Aster germinates rather quickly, so the seedlings can be transplanted to the garden after 7 - 8 weeks in 30 cm spacings. We should commence with that activity after the Ice Saints only. Asters grow best in well drained soil that is rich in nutrients. Planted on a sunny site they will reward us with an abundandce of large inflorescences.
