Statice has been cultivated since the mid-17th century as a garden flower, but also as an herb which was used for the treatment of dysentery as well as other ailments. Statice produces its flowers in the brightly coloured bracts.

Lilac Godetia is native to Southern California and a few other warm climates. It is also called Farewell-to-Spring. Godetia, easily grown from flower seeds, blooms from late spring into the summer, producing spindly, waxy stems and sparse narrow leaves.

Light-Blue Morning Glory is a fine decorative annual vine. This plant produces lovely purple flowers that without a doubt are its main ornamental quality. Flowering from July to October.

Blue needle petal china aster (Callistephus chinensis) is a wonderful variety with intensely coloured, cornflower-blue, thin-as-needles petals that are bundled in round, double, beautiful inflorescences.

A popular annual, compact, erect bush, 70 cm high, large flowers, up to 10 cm in diameter, soft pink in color, blooms from mid-August until the onset of cold weather, used mainly for cutting, in group plantings and in flower beds.
