In the climatic conditions of Ukraine, the tree grows up to 4 - 6 meters in height, with a dense spreading crown. The flowering is very abundant, almost the branches and even the trunk are covered with tassels of delicate and fragrant inflorescences, colored pink, lilac, purple, lilac, violet, and sometimes pure white. The flowering period of Cercis begins at the end of April - May, before the leaves appear, and lasts about a month. The flowers emit a weak, pleasant, delicate aroma, attracting many insects - the plant is a valuable honey plant.
The plant is heat-loving and does not tolerate cold. It should be planted in a well-sunny, southern area. Cercis are resistant to various diseases and boast good pest resistance. When planting, you also need to take into account that these trees have a highly developed root system, and therefore need free space.
