Manitoba maple / Acer negundo, also known as the box elder, boxelder maple, or ash-leaved maple
A popular maple species with unusual leaves resembling ash leaves. Young foliage is light green with white-pink spots. Later, the pink color gradually disappears, and the leaves become milky green. To renew the pink hue, the tops of the branches are shortened, stimulating the appearance of young growth throughout the season.
At a young age, annual growth reaches 1.0-1.5 m. The plants are frost-resistant, undemanding to soil, light-loving. They bloom before the leaves bloom.
Widely used for quick landscaping of garden plots. They look good in single planting, in groups with slow-growing species, you can form a hedge.
Sow seeds in the fall on ridges, or in the spring in bowls after three months of stratification to a depth of 3-4 cm. In the phase of two or three true leaves, seedlings are planted in separate pots. In mid-summer, they are planted in a permanent place.
