  • Tomato «Bucephalus»

This variety combines many advantages: early ripening, high yield, excellent marketable appearance, disease resistance, and remarkable taste. Ripening begins on the 93–97th day after germination. Fruits are flat-round, slightly ribbed, bright pink without a green spot at the stem.

They are characterized by good density and resistance to cracking. Fruit weight 350–700 g, with 3–4 fruits per cluster, shortened internodes. Form in one stem! «Bucephalus» is resistant to TMV and abiotic environmental factors, tolerant to verticillium and bacteriosis.

Tomatoes require a sunny site with light, fertile soil and good drainage. Seeds are sown for seedlings 55–65 days before planting in open ground or greenhouse. The optimal temperature for growth is +22…+26 °C during the day and not lower than +15 °C at night. Planting is carried out when the soil warms up to +12…+14 °C, following a scheme of 40–50 cm between plants and 60–70 cm between rows.

Care includes regular watering with warm water (preferably drip), loosening and mulching the soil, fertilizing with organic and mineral fertilizers. Plants are formed into 1–2 stems, removing side shoots and tying to a support. For disease prevention, it is important to ventilate greenhouses and rotate crops. Timely harvesting of fruits stimulates further fruiting.
