Organic Carambola Seeds / Averrhoa carambola

As one of the world’s most popular commodities, it is grown commercially throughout South America. Commercial growth focuses on quick production and larger beans and so plants are placed in full sun and watered extensively.

A large shrub, originally native to montane forests in the Andes of South America, but now widely cultivated for its delicious fruits, which, under a thin, green peel, has very sweet, soft, white, custard-like flesh that can be scooped out with a spoon.

Much grown in the tropics for its delicious fruits. In this country it is grown for interest and as a foliage plant as it has large, handsome leaves. The leaves can be used for wrapping round pieces of tough meat with the object of tenderising them.

This is a perennial plant of the pumpkin family, which is why it is also called ivy pumpkin, but the fruits are more like cucumbers, grows very quickly, begins to bloom and bear fruit in the second year.

The pheromone trap is designed for monitoring and catching the «Cabbage moth» (Mamestra brassicae), made of kraft cardboard laminated on both sides, trap size - 160x260 mm.

Mid-season variety. Plant 0.6 m high, fruits up to 120 grams, red, round, dense, tasty, beautiful presentation. Very fruitful, fully consistent with the name. Resistant to phytophthora.

This is an early-ripening variety of tomato (92-108 days) for open field. Plant is a mid-size. The fruit is red, round, smooth, 200-300 grams. Universal use. Best for fresh consumption and processing. The yield is 38.6 t/ha.

Though many of the plants in the Hibiscus genus grow in tropical or semitropical regions, several hardier species such as this one are native to North America. Experimental gardener Thomas Jefferson included this species of hibiscus in his list.
