Organic Red amaranth seeds (microgreens)

While there are several cool season legumes grown as field crops in the U.S. (such as chickpeas, lentils, lupines, and faba beans), there are relatively few alternative legumes that are heat and drought tolerant.

Although very familiar to many, the chick pea is a crop rarely seen in the UK, though it has been cultivated for centuries in Asia and the Mediterranean. Our seed comes from Italy, and is of the white-skinned variety which has a superior flavour.

The variety is high-yielding, mid-early ripening, the duration of the growing season is 82 - 85 days, the world's first chickpea variety, which in its characteristics stands between the Desi and Kabuli types with large seeds.

Buckwheat seeds are used for planting in a container at home all year round, it is best to use raw microgreens, buckwheat seedlings are very high in magnesium and phosphorus.

Flakkee has long, thick roots. The colour and flavour is excellent and has good storage quality. The roots will remain good in the ground for a long time withoit spoiling. Excellent for storgae, the roots are up to 28 cm long.
