Cucumbers are grown in sunny, wind-protected areas with light, fertile soil. In autumn, the soil is dug with the addition of humus and phosphorus-potassium fertilizers. In spring — harrowing, bed formation, and covering with film for warming. Grown by seedling or direct sowing method: seeds are sown when the soil temperature is not lower than +14…+16 °C, according to the scheme 30–40×70–100 cm.
Care includes regular loosening, weeding, fertilizing (nitrogen at the beginning of growth, then potassium and magnesium), and abundant watering — especially during flowering and fruiting. Plant formation is carried out (pinching, tying), as well as disease prevention (powdery mildew, bacterial wilt) and pest control (aphids, spider mites). Harvesting is done regularly, every 2–3 days, to stimulate further fruiting.
