Is a decorative shrub from the rose family. This species is evergreen or semi‑evergreen and can reach up to three meters in height. It is distinguished by its dense crown and neat appearance, which makes it widely used in landscaping.
The leaves are oval, about 2–4 cm long, bright green on the upper side, and covered with soft whitish or yellowish pubescence underneath. In autumn, part of the foliage may fall, but the shrub retains its ornamental value thanks to its fruits.
The flowers are small, white or slightly pink, gathered in clusters of several. After flowering, round bright red fruits appear, which remain on the branches for a long time and decorate the plant even during the cold season.
