A highly branched, spherical annual plant, 15-25 cm high. White-blue flowers are collected in dense, umbrella-shaped inflorescences. It blooms from the end of June until frost. To prolong flowering, faded flowers are removed. Any garden soil, sunny place or partial shade is suitable.
It is used to decorate the foreground of flower beds, effectively fills free spaces in group plantings on flower beds. Containers, balcony boxes are planted.
How to Grow
Start the Ageratum flower seeds indoors 6 - 8 weeks before the end of frost season. Transplant outdoors after danger of frost. For areas with a long growing season, Ageratum seeds can be started directly outdoors in a prepared seedbed after all danger of frost has passed. Blooms are extraordinarily long-lived, dead heading is necessary, yet infrequent.
